History of the Farm
-
In 1970, the Warwick family owned the Wicklen Stables property and built the barn around 1975.
-
Subsequently, Harold Sutherland purchased the property where it was leased for a period of time as a local riding center.
-
Willis McLeese purchased the property in 1995 and the family has leased it back to G.R.A.C.E. on advantageous terms for over 25 years.
-
G.R.A.C.E was incorporated as a registered charity in 1990.

"My son has benefited tremendously from hippotherapy. He is 6 years old and has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has been a willing participant. I feel that he was thriving because of the structure and order of the sessions. I know my son very well and I have never before seen him as joyful as he is throughout the session when he is on the horse. When he is on the horse his posture is improved, his social communication skills are improved, he is cooperative and generally at ease. It is a beautiful thing!" - A Grateful Parent
